Orban Wallace is a documentary filmmaker producing human-focused, socially & environmentally driven documentaries and creative commercial content.

Orban has also been directing short films and creative commercial content for the past 10 years alongside global brands. Orban is a hands-on director, with a creative eye, comfortable self-shooting, and putting himself at the heart of the action. Orban has an innate ability to find and cast contributors in difficult situations and has a strong commitment to telling socially impactful human stories, through a cinematic lens. Orban's documentary-style bleeds into both his commercial work and music videos, bringing authenticity and improvisation to his work.
Orban’s debut feature ANOTHER NEWS STORY, which turned the cameras on the journalists reporting the 2015 refugee crisis, was heralded for its fresh and bold approach to the refugee subject, and its dynamic cinematic style and score. The film premiered at Karlovy Vary and has since played over 30 international festivals including IDFA, London, and Glasgow before its worldwide distribution. It was shortlisted for the best international feature in the 2018 Grierson awards.

Orban's 2nd feature doc ROBIN alongside producer Kat Mansoor and Exec Orlando Von Einsiedel. It's a film about Robin Whitehead who died while making her feature debut. The discovery of her unseen rushes 10 years later by sister Charlene and director Orban Wallace propelled the family on a cathartic journey, exploring untapped and deeply sensitive family emotions as they bring her film and memory to life again.

Orban's third feature doc OUR LAND, has been supported by BFI doc society and is produced by Rebecca Wolff and Exec'd by Charlie Phillips.

Orban’s short films have played at Cannes, Vancouver, and have been shortlisted for the RTS Awards.

Orban is co-founder of Gallivant Film a documentary-focused production company producing films for the international market, based between London and Budapest. Gallivant Film is currently working on a slate of new documentary features and shorts.
Orban was selected for the BIFA SPRINGBOARD 2020 and BAFTA Crew 2021 and has worked closely with the BFI Doc society receiving a Grierson and BFI mentorship from Samm Hailley.
Orban's aim is to continue making timely human stories through documentary and fiction.
